Hand-painted Imari with flowers in cobalt blue and red, dating from the Meiji period (1868-1912).
Composed of polychrome and gilt decoration, with the benefit of a wall painting, it is richly painted with multicolored vegetation surrounding two scenes depicting a pagoda sheltered under a cherry tree. The stylized friezes, alternating geometric motifs and delicate arabesques, make this plate a stunning testament to 19th-20th-century Japanese craftsmanship.

Condition: This vintage item has undergone minor restoration (3 cm, shown in the description photos); otherwise, it is in mint condition but may show slight signs of wear consistent with age.
