Glazed porcelain – “The Lovers” Germany or Bohemia (present-day Czech Republic) – ca. 1920–1940
✧ Artistic Description:
"The Lovers" tenderly capture the innocence of first youthful love in an idealized peasant scene from the early 20th century.
Both figures, sensitively and realistically modeled, convey silent contemplation: the pensive young man and the girl holding small flowers.
The glossy glaze in shades of sky blue, cream, and milky brown reflects the technical refinement characteristic of Saxon and Bohemian porcelain of the period.
Used as decorative vases or as living room pieces, they represent the romantic aesthetic of the interwar period.
Dimensions: Height 21 cm, Base 17 cm, Width 5 cm (each figure)
Weight: Approx. 1,100 g per set
Material: High-temperature glazed porcelain
Technique: Hand-molded, glossy glaze, mold number "6012". Comparable to porcelain from factories such as Volkstedt and Conta & Boehme (Germany).
Condition: Excellent. Glossy surface, well-preserved colors. No visible breaks, cracks, or restorations. May show slight signs of aging, consistent with its age.✧ Provenance: Private collection of the AStücke family. These pieces come from an old collection of European porcelain kept by the family.
