LARGE CHINESE CERAMIC BOWL WITH CARP AND LOTUS - VANLI PERIOD TO CHONGZHEN (1600-1640)
Exclusive and rare large antique ceramic bowl, "Swatow," made of Ming porcelain, with a wall stand from its period. It is in the Wucai style with dominant red and green tones. It is a goshu with the characters "Tenkaichi" (world's number one). In the center of the wire are concentric circles containing inscriptions with a wide rim and naturalistic motifs. It is decorated with wild carp leaping from the sea and lotus flowers with a slightly hidden seal.
The bowl is antique and bears signs of age. It was hand-made and hand-painted (in Wuzhou) in the Pinghe kilns. There are some small cracks and marks in the color. It is composed of red and blue glazes, but unfortunately, there is almost no glaze in the center of the bowl.
